PRODUCT COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Communications Specialist on behalf of our client to join their marketing team. As a key contributor to the overall success of the our client marketing team, the Product Communications Specialist will focus on creating content and communications to support a wide range of product marketing initiatives. This role offers a broad range of online and offline writing opportunities and is well-suited for a creative and technically-savvy individual with exceptional writing skills and a true passion for developing customer-centric, engaging and persuasive marketing content and communications.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a product communications plan that will enable our client to effectively target key audiences based on defined messaging
• Develop product marketing content and resources, including videos, brochures, technology spotlights, case studies, newsletters, website pages, customer presentations , whitepapers, FAQs and other content
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information to develop targeted, engaging and effective content and resources.
• Develop content and copy for PR and content marketing initiatives, including press releases, articles, presentations, abstracts and blogs
• Drive the development of product videos by communicating requirements and supporting storyline/script development
• Create, manage and maintain a library of content and resources
• Collaborate with graphic designer on creative, layout, photography and image requirements
• Provide editing and proof-reading support
• Develop web content with SEO and usability in mind
Required Skills and Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in writing a range of marketing content for technology products and services, including press releases, demos, brochures and blogs
• Exceptional marketing copy writing, proof-reading and editing skills
• Exceedingly tech-savvy - superior aptitude to easily grasp technical concepts to produce customer-centric, engaging and persuasive content and communications for technical audiences
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills
• Must have prior press releases writing experience
• Ability to adapt writing for both print and online, with a good understanding of SEO
• Excellent project management, priority-management and time-management skills, must be able to work well under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter who is highly-motivated to deliver results
• University degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or equivalent
• GIS or geography-related background is desired, but not required
