Job Summary
The Response Engineering Team is the “special ops” unit for our client, tackling our customers’ software and configuration problems, quickly and creatively.
As a Senior Response Engineer, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and tackle situations head on. You and your team members will be reproducing customer problems, reviewing, debugging and fixing Java code, and turning around the solutions in just a few days. It is never boring. You are solving real problems, making things happen, and learning all the time.
In addition, the Response Engineering Team plays a leadership role in terms of gathering and disseminating knowledge to ensure that our client is consistently on the forefront of technology. The Response Engineering Team is the “go to” crew for all of the latest technical information - both within the company and for our customers. Job Responsibilities • Functions as a solid individual contributor on a high output agile development team • Acts as an intermediary between Sales and
Support Teams and the Development Team to resolve system issues in a timely
manner • Reproduces and resolves customer reported issues • Reviews, debugs and fixes Java code • Develops sample applications and plugins to demonstrate features of the product and SDK • Stays on the forefront of knowledge of the
industry and shares that knowledge within the company • Responsible for developing and disseminating
information to enable developers to use our clients products effectively • Proactively undertakes self-directed research to explore opportunities for the integration of our client with other products • Provides hands on training for field personnel.
Technical Background
Required: • Minimum of 7 years of Java development experience on Microsoft and Linux • Experience working in agile development environment • BSCS or equivalent format training with IT emphasis
Optional: • Experience with: Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), Kerberos, NTLM, Protocol Transition (S4U2Self), Constrained Delegation (S4U2Proxy), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), PKI, and Identity Access Management (IAM)
Required Skills • Strong problem solving skills – enjoy dealing
with complex problems and have access to a diverse set of strategies to solve
them • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Solid understanding of software development, with knowledge of development practices an tools, as well as debugging • Experience configuring complex systems • Comfortable working in an agile
environment • Enjoy “trouble shooting” – dealing with interesting, challenging problems with fast turnaround and immediate feedback • Extensive, diverse experience and willing to be “hands on” • Self starter who likes to make things happen and has the ability to work closely and collaboratively with other team members • Ability to multitask
