SENIOR DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
PERM • 80-90K + Bonus Vancouver, BC or Denver, CO REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Collaborates with Project Director to establish designs, tasks, and functional expectations.
PROJECT/ PRODUCT Works as a senior member of an agile team with varied assignments in developing features and extensions to Ping Federate server and major portions of portfolio
POSITION OVERVIEW Individual is active in developing features and key extensions to enterprise product suite. Requires strong design background, ability to work in a fast moving agile environment, good communications skills, outstanding rendering of designs to functional Java code, attention to quality & testability, and performance. Wide variety of work including heavy XML protocol development, provisioning subsystems creation, web services interfaces and user interface/web-facing implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Participation in clarifying feature and subsystem requirements. 2. Design work necessary to define tasks and implementation. 3. Construction including source coding, code review, unit testing, and integration. . 4. Integration of open source packages as needed to achieve functionality. 5. Active in supporting SQE team members in performing testing. 6. Expressing technical insights so other can handle field-related issues
EXPERIENCE • 7+ years experience in commercial, enterprise-level product environment • Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level development. • MUST: Experience with open source and open source tools. • MUST: Expert knowledge of Java space and practices in development. • MUST: Understanding of enterprise-scale systems and configurations related to security. • BIG PLUS: Experience with provisioning systems and directories such as MS AD, SUNONE, or other LDAP-compliant directories • Experience with web services interfaces • PLUS: Experience with SaaS provisioning as found with Google, SFDC or similar • Also desired: Experience in an agile, iterative, or XP environments. • Important: Work requires knowledge of complex setups and configurations. An individual with IT admin experience on different platforms is a plus. • Exceptional problem solving skills, Loves finding the best solution.

EDUCATION Must Have: BSCS or equivalent formal training.
