FLEX CONTRACTOR

Montreal, QC • 6 Month + Contract

We are conducting a search on behalf of our client for a Flex Contractor. The successful candidate must be able to work on our clients system which provides their external clients and internal traders with content and ideas that they can trade from. This is a full suite of portfolio analytics tools for equities. The application is used by all internal equity desks and external investment and hedge funds. It provides pre-trade analytics prior to trading including, liquidity, exposure, beta, performance, risk metrics. The system let's user create hedges and analyze how a trading engine will trade the portfolio. During the execution of the trade it provides real time PnL monitoring and finally post trade reports.

Skills Required:

• Experience with software engineering principles and design practices.

• UX design experience is a plus.

• Extensive experience and knowledge of Flex frameworks such as Cairngorm 2, Caingorm 3, Parsley

• Previous experience in Equities domain is a plus.

• Proven top-end development skills

• Interested in working with leading-edge technologies

• Expertise in developing real time internet based solution.

• Ability to distil complex problems into simple, practical solutions

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and deliver to aggressive timescales

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  

• Motivated and ambitious individuals

Skills Desired  

• Experience with UI technologies like JSP, Flex, Javascript libraries like EXT-JS or JQuery would be a plus
